Energy Therapy
vitalising health for body, mind and spirit

A personal message from Jaime

I am committed to sharing any spiritual knowledge and tools that I have acquired with those who are willing to learn. The path to self-mastery often presents many challenges and life can seem overwhelming. We do not need self-proclaimed gurus but we do need spiritual teachers who walk their talk and are willing to bless others with their acquired knowledge and wisdom. Each person's truth will be different according to their chosen path and each person will take from each teacher what they need to progress to the next level.

Energy Therapy is based in the heart of East Dulwich, London, offering Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki ® courses, Lightarian Reiki ™ attunements, Reiki treatments, Reiki Drumming treatments, Spiritual Response Therapy clearings and Aura-Soma consultations and products.

My story

I remember being interested in the spiritual path from a young age. I was fascinated by various spiritual texts, based on Yogi teachings that my grandmother gave me, as well as other esoteric books that highlighted the unity of mind, body and spirit; books such as "In Tune With The Infinite" by Ralph Waldo Trine, "Your Invisible Power" by Genevieve Behrend and "The Power of your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy.

In addition, my mother thought it would be good for me to take up martial arts and enrolled me from the age of 10. The breath-work and other yoga-like exercises strongly reinforced all that I was learning but I continued to follow an academic path since I did not see a way to integrate spirituality into my every day life. It was also the wish of my parents that I attend school and university.

I graduated from University in 1995 but felt strongly dissatisfied with my life and wanted to leave the UK to live abroad, at least for a while. I travelled to Spain and lived there happily for two years but I had a strong calling to come back to the UK towards the end of 1998. However, I pursued the academic route again, first working in for a global advertising agency and then as a website developer for a small but successful web company and it wasn't until 2003 that I was strongly drawn to Reiki and happily immersed in the world of healing again.

In March of that year, my dad suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed at a local pharmacy meeting. He was admitted to hospital in critical condition and was later diagnosed with a bleed in the frontal lobe of the brain. He regained consciousness after several days and began the slow and arduous recuperation process that follows a major life-changing episode like this.

The many months that followed were a testing time for myself and my family but it set me on an intense period of training, in addition to re-visiting my earlier spiritual texts and books, back into the world of holistic healing. I held the firm belief through my studies and application of Raja, Gnani and Hatha Yoga and Chinese and Japanese martial arts throughout my life that body and mind were unquestionably and intricately linked, and that there was something incredible and wonderful that could heal both.

Reiki guided me to find two highly gifted Light Workers who were both teaching and practising hands-on healing, both incredible women in every aspect of their lives, who were to have a profound effect on my life and the health and lives of the people closest to me. I was able to see, first-hand, the effects of Reiki healing, both distant and present, and the remarkable improvements in my father's physical, emotional and mental condition. All this was despite the fact that my father did not believe in Reiki. All he had to do was accept the energy, no more.

I have always been fascinated by the concept that we are energy beings experiencing through a physical body and thus can heal body and mind through addressing imbalances in the energy field. In particular, I have found that I have developed greater sensitivity to energy through music and dance, and the practice of classical Wyn Chun Kung Fu.

In addition, my own healing journey has been intensely profound and has led me to integrate key aspects of energy work and raise consciousness through Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Aura-Soma, Shiatsu, Kung Fu, Pilates,Yoga and Dance.

All paths lead to God. We must learn to trust ourselves and the process of life again, and humbly follow our unique paths step by step, listening to our wisdom within.
