Energy Therapy donates a percentage of its income to the following charities to help bring about real change and thus create a better world for all. Some information about the work of the charities is listed below, along with their relevant website link.
  • Crisis

Crisis is dedicated to helping homeless people who have no legal rights to accommodation. Its first priority is to help people survive through giving them the basic human requirements of food, warmth and shelter. Next it works on resettling them, advising on benefits and hostel spaces, and providing rent deposit guarantees so they can move into a new home. Finally, it provides longer-term support, helping them after they have moved into a new home to combat loneliness, deal with bills or beat addiction. The charity has highlighted the startlingly low life expectancy of homeless people - 42 years, compared with over 75 for others.
  • Oxfam

Oxfam International seeks increased worldwide public understanding that economic and social justice are crucial to sustainable development. Poverty isn't just about lack of resources. In a wealthy world it's about bad decisions made by powerful people. Oxfam campaigns hard, putting pressure on leaders for real lasting change. Oxfam helps poor people to take control, solve their own problems, and rely on themselves - with the right support.
  • Plan

In the world's poorest countries, millions of children live in desperate need of the very things we often take for granted - food, medicine, education and safe drinking water. Without these basics, they are often denied the chance they need to ever realise their full potential. Plan believes that children have the right to shape their future. A key part of Plan's work is to provide children and young people with opportunities to participate in decisions and plans which affect them.
  • Water Aid

People around the world suffer on a daily basis because they don't have access to safe water and sanitation. WaterAid and its partners use practical solutions to provide safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people. We also seek to influence policy at national and international levels. The company works in rural and urban areas, and have programmes in 17 countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region.
  • NSPCC

The London Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children was founded in 1884, changing its name to The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) in 1889. Its aim then was to protect children from cruelty, support vulnerable families, campaign for changes to the law and raise awareness about abuse. The NSPCC's purpose is to end cruelty to children. Its vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential.
  • WWF

WWF works on both global and local environmental issues, addressing threats to people and nature such as climate change, the peril to endangered species and habitats, and the unsustainable consumption of the world's natural resources. It does this by influencing how governments, businesses and people think, learn and act in relation to the world around us, and by working with local communities to improve their livelihoods and the environment upon which we all depend. WWF uses its practical experience, knowledge and credibility to create long-term solutions for the planet's environment.
