Reiki Drum Course | Reiki Drumming
No musical experience is necessary for the course "Drum sound rises on the air, its throb, my heart. A voice inside the beat says, "I know you're tired, but come." This is the way." Jalal ad-Din Rumi The drumbeat is one of the oldest and most sacred sounds that we can use to tap into altered states of consciousness and Reiki drumming provides a unique blending of healing traditions from the East and West, as well as ancient shamanistic ceremonial practices, allowing Reiki to merge with the drum's sound waves to create a beautifully safe and sacred environment for healing to occur."The sound of the drum was soothing and seemed to go straight through my body towards the earth..." KM
Reiki Drum students will explore standard shamanic techniques using the drum such as "journeying", and will also learn the Reiki Drum Mental/Emotional Reprogramming to facilitate powerful, altered states of consciousness and deep healings within themselves and their clients. Students will need to either sit or stand whilst drumming, depending on the technique being used. When receiving any type of healing, students will be invited to lie down on a massage couch."I booked the Reiki Drum workshop to find a new approach to Reiki, a connection i had lost over the past years... Reiki Drumming brought a lot of shifts with it and Jaime was able to create a secure space, give guidance and help to overcome them in his calm, gentle manner. Everything was welcomed: laughter, crying and whatever needed to be told. During the two day intensive, you get a deep and lasting impression of the world of shamanism, balanced with the nurturing support of Reiki. The venue rounded it all up for me... the Buddha statues hidden under the trees, colorful flower gardens, and the delicious, healthy food made it a very special weekend!" SS
No musical experience is necessary for the course, only a willingness to learn. As an accomplished sound healer, musician and teacher, Jaime will spend time explaining concepts to ensure a good understanding of the principles and techniques involved and there will be plenty of time for practice. Reiki Drum students will therefore have the opportunity to experience healing vibrations through the sound of the drum, the didgeridoo and vocal harmonics/overtoning during the course.Cost and enrollment

The origins of Reiki Drumming
Reiki Drum Technique, or Reiki Drumming, is a combination of Reiki with shamanic drumming and does not form part of the original Usui teachings. It is currently popular in the USA, where it was formed by Michael Arthur Baird of the Infinite Light Healing Studies Centre. Michael was a shaman and frequently performed medicine drumming on those who came to see him for healing. He often felt drained and depleted after working, however, so his wife (Laurelle Shanti Gaia) invited him to channel Reiki through to help bring in more Light and protection. Reiki Drumming was then born! Why Reiki Drum?
The psychic Edgar Cayce, known as "the sleeping prophet", predicted that the future of medicine would be sound and today we are all experiencing a powerful remembrance of the vibratory nature of Reality. Reiki Drum Technique is a powerful tool for awakening more fully to our Divine purpose here on earth, tapping into the pulse of Mother Earth and the Universal flow of creation; by using the drum, we can enhance our power to send distant healing and harmonise our consciousness with the energy of Love. Reiki Drum practitioners use the drum to introduce Reiki into the client's body, shifting blockages and rebalancing the energy field. The bringing together of these two systems means that the energy of the drum always works for the highest good of the client, within a protected space, just as in a normal Reiki treatment. What you will learn?
The technique is broken down into three main types of session: the basic Reiki Drum healing, where the drum is used intuitively over the client's body to deliver a deep healing treatment, followed by hands-on Reiki to fully integrate the energy shifts and ground the client; the mental/emotional reprogramming technique, where the intuitive drum treatment is accompanied by powerful affirmations to support spiritual growth; finally, the Reiki Drum journey technique, where the practitioner uses the drum to take the client into a deep meditative state to receive insight, spiritual guidance and healing. The energy that is experienced during a course provides students with a powerful platform for further self-awareness and spiritual growth. As well as gaining valuable insights over the two days, a period of integration will be necessary after the course, to understand the inner meanings that have been presented and practise the newly learned techniques.Reiki Drum Course Structure
